Earlier today, a few very quick people who were lucky to be online at the time were able to listen to my live stream of this show. One of the guitarists in the band asked me to record only a few hours before the show. When I got to the Soundgarden on Marnixstraat here in Amsterdam, I was given access to the soundboard, and the owner was nice enough to give me the wifi password! He then suggested that I stream the show, and what a great idea! I quickly announced the stream link on facebook, phish.net, hoodstream.com, and on the SHNFamily DC Hub, and I managed to pull some people in! Okay so maybe only 3 registered members and 4-5 on and off guests popped in, but the point is that the music that is going practically unheard in Amsterdam was playing live worldwide, with listeners in the States! Okay, I am rambling, and getting beyond the focus of this post. Here is the stream of the show, I hope tyou enjoy!

Track info:
This kind of had to be a single track, due to it being a spoken word event. I didn't know where Atilla would have wanted his tracks to be splitted at, and also I had no idea what to name them. BAsically what we have here is a monologue with several poems and just a couple songs. Atilla is a truly amazing poet, and you MUST check this guy out!

Thanks to shnfamily for just...being.
Thanks to Zaal 100 for letting me roam backstage and play with your soundboards and electronic doodads!
Here's the John Mayer show from earlier this year at the Heineken Music Hall. I remember when this happened, the tickets sold out so quickly! I'm not surprised, Europe has a lot of love for John Mayer. This is a pretty decent audience recording of the show, for those of you like me who couldn't get tickets, and for those of you stateside who couldn't make it out here! The one track I would consider the most noteworthy is his awesome attempt at Tom Petty's 'Free Falling'. Caution: Recording contains excessive female shrieking.

This show is one of the many open jam sessions that take place weekly at The Waterhole. Hosted by Julius E. Green (of Otis Redding and The Plattersfame) and his band, they encourage audience members to take up the instruments and play along with the band's setlists. On this night, several anonymous musicians took the stage. Instruments added include Bass, Drums, Trumpet, Guitar, Harmonica, and a guest singer. There were several breaks between playing, I count these as full sets.
Thank you to SHNFamily for getting me interested in taping,
and to Ron Wright (Funkadelic) for giving me permission to record!

Hello and welcome to the newly launched Amsterdam Archive! I am currently in heavy development mode, but will be finished very soon.
Amsterdam Archive is my attempt at recording and archiving as much live music form this city as possible, sharing it all with you for free! Don't live in Europe but would like to get a glimpse into Amsterdam's amazing music culture? You've come to the right place. There isn't much to look at right now, but in a couple weeks we will be teeming with content for you to feast your eyes upon! Here's a short list of what will be included here:
Reviews - Check out what users thought of a particular show. Ideally there will be at least one review per piece of Audio content.
Audio Archive - Download or stream full concerts for free! All the music contained on this site is shared with the artist's permission, and no copyrighted material will be posted. These are all audience recordings and soundboards. AmsterdamArchive complies with all guidelines set forth by each individual artist's requests.
Venues - Need help finding a particular venue for an upcoming show? We can get you directions quickly and easily. Other venue-specific info will be displayed as well, such as weekly/monthly schedules, menus/drink specials, and hours of business.
Keep in mind that not all of these features will be immediately available, since I am a one-man army at the moment. What should you do? Register yourself an account, and watch this archive grow!
Would you like to help out in any way? Good with PHP/CSS? Do you live in Amsterdam and want to help tape/review shows? Send me an email! You can reach me at salber04@gmail.com
